VitalCALL Essence Base Unit sets the standard for highly reliable personal alarms, with key functions and a multitude of safety features to help people age at home with confidence.

It is designed to send an alert for assistance when a customer presses the help button or paired pendant is activated within the home and in some cases your garden area. Alerts are received by VitalCALL’s 24/7 Australian-based Emergency Response Centre so help can be organised.

When the alert button is pressed on either the base unit or the pendant, lights illuminate on the base unit to alert the user that their alert for help has been received by the Emergency Response Centre. This provides reassurance that help is being summoned and assistance will be provided shortly.

Do I Need the NBN Or Landline?

No, the VitalCALL Essence Base Unit works on the 4G Network only and does not require an NBN or landline connection. This system works like a mobile phone, where calls are made from the unit using a SIM card.

Does The Essence Base Unit Support Two-Way Communication?

Yes, the Essence Base Unit doe support two-way communication. This means you can communicate with our Emergency Response Team through the Base Unit to provide you reassurance or guidance in the case of an emergency.

Does The Essence Base Unit Have A Battery Backup?

Yes, the Essence Base Unit features a rechargeable battery as a backup power source. The rechargeable battery can last up to 3 years. The green Power LED will blink when the unit is being powered by the battery.

What Happens If There Is An Outage On The Mobile Network?

If there is an outage or communications failure on the mobile network, the Essence Base Unit saves messages and sends them once communications are restored.

Where is The Best Place To Install The Essence Base Unit?

We recommend installing the Essence Base Unit in the Living Room or Master Bedroom. It is important to ensure there is a strong cellular signal. The speakerphone must also be heard throughout the premises.

Can The Essence Base Unit Be Mounted on The Wall?

Yes, there is an option to mount the Base Unit on the wall. It can also be setup on a tabletop, desk or bench.
